Our StoryOur story didn't go the
way I planned.
Like most fathers, I dreamed of the milestones I would share with my son, football games, golfing, and the simple joys of growing up together. Then Ben began missing developmental milestones. Then came the diagnosis. And for a long time, I was so focused on trying to fix something I didn’t have the power to fix that I missed what was right in front of me.
One afternoon, the two of us stopped into a McDonalds on the way to therapy. An ordinary moment became a life-changing encounter when God spoke to me and nothing has been the same since.
